Rocca Bar & Grill
Rocca Bar & Grill opened in February 2010, in time for Valentines weekend, it was very much a labour of love. The restaurant was the dream of owners Adrian and Susan Pieraccini. Their concept was to create a restaurant that combines the very best of Scottish and Italian cuisine to produce an imaginative and inspiring menu.
Rocca uses fresh, local and seasonal ingredients wherever possible, as you can see from the picture of Pete delivering our lobsters straight from his boat.
The tasteful, comfortable, plush and beautifully appointed restaurant was created by Susan Pieraccini. The ideal environment to enjoy the great food.
Adrian & Susan have successfully created and operated many restaurants over the years, one of the most successful being the Rocpool Brand. Their plan is that Rocca will become an established top eatery in the dining scene in Scotland. They were well on their way after Rocca won the “Rising Star Restaurant” award in its first year of opening.
Rocca’s Executive Chef, Davey Aspin, previously worked for Adrian and Susan at Rocpool Reserve. Early in his career he has worked for some of the most iconic chefs in the country, Marco Pierre-White at The Oak Rooms and Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road. He then progressed with time in France and stages throughout the world. Davey achieved a highlight in his career being awarded a Michelin star as head chef of Paul Heathcote’s, Longridge Restaurant inLancashire. Davey and his loyal team of chefs are looking to continue building on the recent successes that Rocca has achieved.
